The consultation paper aims to unleash the potential of India's broadcasting industry by promoting local equipment manufacturing, research & development, affordable television services, and Indian content on OTT platforms. The policy is crucial for the country to compete in the era of emerging technologies like the metaverse, convergence of devices, and faster 5G services. Stakeholders can send their comments on the consultation paper by April 30.
