598 stolen Ontario vehicles, worth $34.5M, recovered at Port of Montreal; investigation ongoing.

Ontario Provincial Police and the Canada Border Services Agency have recovered 598 stolen vehicles destined for export at the Port of Montreal, with an estimated value of $34.5 million. The majority of the vehicles, 75%, were reported stolen in Ontario. No arrests were made but the investigation is ongoing. The joint operation between police forces in Quebec and Ontario, the CBSA, and insurance investigators involved the inspection of 390 shipping containers at the port.
