Scottish state-run ferry operator CalMac removes CEO Robbie Drummond due to delayed, over-budget ship deliveries.

Scottish state-run ferry operator CalMac has ousted CEO Robbie Drummond amid a crisis over the delayed delivery of two new ships that are £250m over budget. The dismissal follows the recent sacking of David Tydeman, head of Ferguson Marine, the shipyard building the vessels. The Scottish Conservatives accused the Scottish government of presiding over "utter chaos" in the ferry network and refusing to accept responsibility.
