Irish labour productivity declined 2.3% to €97.10 per hour in Q4 2023, with a significant decrease in the multinational sector. Despite the drop, Ireland had the highest labour productivity in the EU, surpassing Luxembourg (€91.40 per hour) and more than double the EU average (€41.30). However, the foreign sector's productivity (€381 per hour) was higher than the domestic sector (€53.80).
