Former NRL star Jarryd Hayne is appealing his rape conviction in the NSW Supreme Court. Hayne's lawyers argue that text messages and social media posts deleted from the victim's phone are evidence of deliberate concealment of facts, and they are asking the Court of Criminal Appeal to acquit Hayne based on this evidence. Hayne was found guilty of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent during an incident at a woman's home on September 30, 2018.
