flag Former Malaysian PM Najib Razak seeks judicial review to serve reduced sentence under house arrest.

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has filed a judicial review application seeking to serve his 12-year prison sentence, reduced to six years, under house arrest. Najib claims that an "addendum order" was issued by the previous Malaysian king, Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah, who granted his reduced sentence, allowing him to serve his remaining six years under house arrest. The application was filed through law firm Messrs Shafee & Co on April 1st.
