2013-2016 to 2018-2021 e-cigarette use among adult smokers increased quit rates from 15.5% to 30.9%.

A study from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center reports a spike in e-cigarette users quitting traditional cigarettes. The research, published in Nicotine & Tobacco Research, indicates that quit rates among adult smokers who used e-cigarettes increased from 15.5% in 2013-2016 to 30.9% between 2018 and 2021. In comparison, only 20% of smokers who did not use e-cigarettes quit smoking during the same periods.
