Arkansas state general revenue collections in March increased by 3.2% over the previous year to $688.8 million, driven by individual income tax and sales tax collections. Despite year-to-date revenue being $289 million below last year, March's collections exceeded forecast by $60.1 million. Sales and use tax surged due to inflation's impact, offsetting the decline in state income and corporate tax revenues.
