53-year-old Tyrone Anthony Jones, a former Flint resident, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor relative in the early 2000s. The assaults occurred between 2002 and 2003 while the victim lived with him and his wife in Flint. Jones impregnated the victim, who gave birth at the age of 13. He later moved to Alabama, and the victim and her child relocated to a different state. In September 2022, the victim filed a formal complaint with the Flint Police Department, leading to Jones' arrest. His sentencing is scheduled for May 6. Prosecutor David Leyton praised the victim for her strength and courage in coming forward to hold Jones accountable for his actions.
