Whirlpool and Arçelik complete transaction, forming Beko Europe B.V. with 25% Whirlpool, 75% Arçelik ownership.
Whirlpool Corp. announces the completion of its transaction with Arçelik, a significant step in its portfolio transformation. The new European appliance company, called Beko Europe B.V., combines Whirlpool's European major domestic appliance business with Arçelik's major domestic appliance, consumer electronics, air conditioning, and small domestic appliance businesses. Whirlpool now owns 25% of Beko Europe, while Arçelik owns 75%.
