The 'Heal Komfo Anokye' project, aimed at renovating Kumasi's 70-year-old Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, has faced a setback due to challenges in clearing essential items from ports. The consignment of imported tiles meant for the project is held up at Tema Harbour with a $2.7 million import duty required for the ten containers. Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has contributed GH¢1 million to expedite the release of crucial construction materials at the Tema Harbour for the renovation efforts of the hospital.
