Transocean Ltd., a leading global offshore drilling services provider, announced a 365-day contract extension for its Deepwater Asgard drillship in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, valued at approximately $195 million. The extension, beginning in June 2024, includes additional services and builds on the rig's current program. Transocean operates 36 mobile offshore drilling units, including 28 ultra-deepwater floaters and eight harsh environment floaters.
