810,000 Texas children removed from Medicaid program.

Texas, which once hurried to enroll children on Medicaid, has recently started removing around 810,000 kids from the program. Back in 1999, the state established the Texas Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) under public pressure and political push, aimed to provide healthcare for children who did not qualify for Medicaid. Now, Texas officials are facing criticism for the current removal of children from Medicaid.
