Sudan suspended the work of Saudi-owned Al Arabiya and Al Hadath TV, as well as UAE-owned Sky News Arabia, citing a lack of professionalism and transparency in their media coverage. The decision by the Sudanese government came after Sky News Arabia aired a report alleging the involvement of Islamic State elements in combat alongside Sudanese Armed Forces. Sudan has been experiencing violent clashes between the SAF and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces since April 15, 2023.
