SpiceJet acquires a Q400 aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital, settling liabilities and freeing from rental payments.
SpiceJet has acquired a Q400 aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) as part of a settlement agreement, taking complete ownership of six Q400 aircraft. This agreement resolves all previous liabilities for the Q400s leased by NAC to SpiceJet and frees the airline from monthly rental payments for these planes. The timely arrival of the aircraft aligns with the upcoming summer schedule, providing enhanced services to passengers during peak travel seasons. SpiceJet has also reached significant settlements with Export Development Canada (EDC), Cross Ocean Partners, and AerCap, resulting in savings of INR 1252 Crore ($166.2 million) for the airline.
