SADC mission Samim deployed in 2021 to fight Islamic insurgents in Mozambique; scheduled to end in 2024, effectiveness assessed as mixed.

Southern African Development Community (SADC) mission in Mozambique (Samim) deployed in 2021 to combat Islamic insurgents in Cabo Delgado province since 2017.
