Three people were killed and one injured in an avalanche at the Swiss Alpine ski resort of Zermatt on Monday afternoon. The avalanche occurred in the Riffelberg sector of the resort. Search operations were halted for the day due to challenging weather conditions and difficult access to the area, which had a lot of snow. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
