Montreal family facing deportation to Nigeria has been granted temporary permission to stay in Canada, according to advocates. The deportation order for Deborah Adegboye, her husband, and their children was cancelled, allowing them to remain in the country while they pursue permanent residence on humanitarian grounds. The family had arrived in Quebec from Nigeria in 2017, fleeing religious persecution, and have been working as orderlies during the pandemic.
