Louisiana State Police trooper Brett Dupre, 56, has been arrested and charged with malfeasance in office and filing false public records for allegedly mishandling two suspected drunken crashes investigated in April 2023. Dupre failed to properly document and investigate the incidents, leading two suspected impaired drivers to not be taken into custody. The Louisiana State Police Superintendent, Col. Robert Hodges, announced the charges against Dupre, who was released on bond.
