Apple's iOS 18, expected in June, will not be compatible with iPhones released before 2018, including the iPhone SE and 8 Plus models, due to their outdated hardware chips. The new AI-powered features in iOS 18, such as Siri improvements and enhanced AI capabilities, require Apple's A12 Bionic chip, introduced in 2018's iPhone XR and XS models. Apple will continue to support the seventh and eighth series iPhones until at least 2024.
