Former President Trump posted a $175M bond.

Former President Donald Trump has posted a $175 million bond in his New York civil fraud case, preventing the state from seizing his assets while he appeals. The bond, which Trump posted on Monday, halts the collection of the more than $454 million he owes and prevents the state from seizing his assets to satisfy the debt while he appeals. Trump originally needed to post a bond for $454 million, but an appeals court on March 25 stayed enforcement of Justice Arthur Engoron's judgment on condition that Trump pay the smaller sum within 10 days.
