Former party secretary and chairman of Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), An Jin, is under investigation for corruption, according to China's anti-graft watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. An, who retired from state-owned JAC in 2021, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. JAC partners with Volkswagen and Nio, and in 2017 set up a joint venture with Volkswagen focused on electric vehicles.
