The tree-killing insect from Asia has now been found in 36 states, threatening all species of ash trees. Landowners and managers are advised to consider action for at-risk trees, including removal and replacement or preventive insecticide treatments. The most effective time for treatments is in the spring, between mid-April to mid-May.
