Drake University hires Ben McCollum, a four-time DII national champion coach, as head basketball coach.

Drake University has hired Ben McCollum, a four-time Division II national champion coach from Northwest Missouri State, as their head basketball coach on a five-year deal. McCollum succeeds Darian DeVries, who left Drake for the head coaching position at West Virginia. In his 15 seasons at Northwest Missouri State, McCollum led the Bearcats to a 394-91 record and four national titles.
