Deribit, a leading crypto derivatives options platform, has received a conditional VASP license from Dubai's VARA for VA Exchange Services, covering spot and derivatives trading. The platform's global headquarters is relocating to Dubai, with Luuk Strijers as CEO and two Non-Executive Directors, Dennis Dijkstra and Willem Meijer. Deribit must meet all remaining requirements before it can fully operate in Dubai and will serve institutional and qualified investors, while continuing to serve its retail clients from its broker affiliate in Panama.
