Canada expands its evacuation of citizens from Haiti to include Canadian permanent residents and relatives. The government has arranged a charter flight for Canadians who pay a market rate to fly between the Dominican Republic and Montreal. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, announced the expansion, following a week of airlifting people with valid Canadian passports from Haiti to the Dominican Republic, with 153 having left so far.
