A dental intern at KGMU, Dr Dikshanvita Anand, was killed when a truck hit her near her home on IIM road in Lucknow. The 2019 BDS student succumbed to her injuries on the spot. The driver escaped the scene, but the truck was seized. An FIR was filed by her father, Dr Anand Kumar, who is a state government employee. KGMU's vice-chancellor, Prof Soniya Nityanand, expressed shock and offered condolences to the family.
