The Archdiocese of Bangalore has launched the broadcast of Vatican News in Kannada, making it the 53rd language in which the Vatican news is accessible globally. This addition helps the Church better communicate with its followers in India, where Catholicism is expanding. Kannada is spoken by an estimated 40 million people in and around the southern Indian state of Karnataka.
