200-acre prescribed burn starts week of April 1 at Threemile WMA in Montana, northeast of Stevensville. Organized by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, the burn aims to enhance wildlife habitat and reduce fuel loads, part of phase 2 of Threemile WMA forest habitat work. Burns may cause smoke visibility in the area, and the project is a cooperative effort with Bitterroot National Forest, Montana DNRC, and FWP funds from Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
