43-year-old Martin Truex Jr. led 228 laps at Richmond Raceway in the Toyota Owners 400, but ultimately finished 4th as Denny Hamlin took the win. Despite dominating most of the race, Truex's victory hopes were dashed when Kyle Larson spun on the final lap, causing a caution and forcing the race into overtime. Truex expressed frustration, claiming Hamlin "used me up" on the final restart.
