QatarEnergy has finalized charter contracts with several Asian ship owners to expand its fleet with 19 new LNG vessels ahead of a massive output increase. The agreements signed with CMES LNG Carrier Investment, Shandong Marine Energy, MISC Berhad, and a joint venture of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and Hyundai Glovis will bring QatarEnergy's total ships to 104, with 43 chartered by affiliate QatarEnergy Trading. The new vessels will support QatarEnergy's expansion of its North Field, which will raise its annual production capacity from 77 million tons to 142 million tons by 2030.
