The Philippines' budget deficit rose to 2.93 billion USD in February, the country's Bureau of the Treasury reported. The wider budget gap resulted from a 22.14% year-over-year increase in expenditures, matched with moderate revenue growth of 5.73%. The year-to-date fiscal balance reverted to a deficit of 1.4 billion dollars, 26.56% higher than the previous year's January-to-February budget gap.
