Payments Canada, the organization responsible for Canada's payment systems, has appointed interim co-CEOs Kristina Logue and Jude Pinto following the departure of former CEO Tracey Black. The company has faced delays in implementing the Real-Time Rail, a faster payment system that could provide near-instant 24/7 payments and bring billions of dollars in benefits, according to the C.D. Howe Institute. Payments Canada, which processed over $112 trillion in transactions last year, is founded by Parliament and funded by the industry.
