Massachusetts State Trooper Peter Spinale rescued and protected an injured owl on Route 1 in Danvers until environmental police arrived.

Massachusetts State Trooper Peter Spinale rescued an injured owl on the side of Route 1 in Danvers on Easter Sunday. He stayed by the bird and set up flares to protect it until Massachusetts Environmental Police arrived. The owl was then transported to a wildlife rehab facility for treatment. The cause of the owl's injuries remains unknown.
