Liberty Media Corporation, Formula 1 owner, agrees to acquire 86% of MotoGP™ rights holder Dorna Sports for €4.2bn.
Liberty Media Corporation, the owner of Formula 1, has announced a deal to acquire Dorna Sports, the exclusive commercial rights holder of MotoGP™ World Championship, for an enterprise value of €4.2bn ($4.32bn). The acquisition is set to bring together the premier motorcycle racing championship and the four-wheeled Formula One series under the same ownership. The deal, expected to be completed by the end of 2024, will see Liberty Media acquire 86% of MotoGP, while Dorna management retains 14% equity.
