Indian Coast Guard strengthens presence in Gujarat with additional vessels in Gulf of Kutch for environmental threat mitigation.

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has strengthened its presence in Gujarat by positioning additional vessels, including a Hovercraft at Jakhau and ICGS Samudra Pavak, a Marine Pollution Control Vessel, at Vadinar in the Gulf of Kutch. The Gulf of Kutch, handling 70% of India's oil, has rich biodiversity & requires environmental threat mitigation. The dedicated Marine Pollution Response Unit at Vadinar provides quick, professional responses and serves as a coordination hub for regional stakeholders.
