Hanoi is the most expensive city to live in Vietnam for the third consecutive year: SCOLI report.
Hanoi remains the most expensive city to live in Vietnam for the third consecutive year, according to the Spatial Cost of Living Index (SCOLI) report. The report reveals that Ho Chi Minh City has a cost of living at 98.44% of Hanoi's, while Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Binh Duong have higher living costs due to robust economic development. The Red River Delta region has the highest cost of living in Vietnam, while the Mekong Delta region has the lowest. The SCOLI index, which measures consumer goods and service prices, has remained stable due to government efforts to control inflation and abundant goods supply.
