Georgia implements Medicaid work requirement, a first in the U.S.

Georgia is the only U.S. state with a work requirement for Medicaid coverage, a controversial approach to expanding the country's largest public health insurance program. This initiative was explored in a report for the series "America's Safety Net". Since its creation 60 years ago, Medicaid has been expanded repeatedly, now serving as the U.S. government's largest public health insurance program.
