Telangana BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao claimed that 200 farmers died by suicide in the state within 100 days of Congress rule. He accused the Congress government of inefficiency in using systems built by the previous government, leading to drying up of crops due to lack of water. Rao demanded an enumeration of dried-up crops, compensation, and for the Congress government to accept the BRS's demands on behalf of farmers.
