Hypertension May Predict Stroke Risk In Diabetes Patients: Study.

A study by Chinese researchers finds that diabetes patients with high blood pressure (hypertension) may be at risk of developing a stroke. Cumulative systolic blood pressure was found to independently predict stroke risk in patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study, which included 8,282 participants, revealed a strong dose-response relationship between cumulative BP and stroke risk.
