60-year-old pedestrian David Lake died after being hit by a car on Louisiana Hwy 442 near Copperhead Road in Tangipahoa Parish on Easter Sunday morning. Lake was walking in the westbound lane when a 2015 Nissan Altima struck him. Toxicology samples were collected from both Lake and the driver, but no arrests or citations have been made. The crash remains under investigation, and the Louisiana State Police urge motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution while using roadways.
