28-year-old first baseman, Dominic Smith, signs a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays. The lefty hitter previously played with the New York Mets (2017-2022) and Washington Nationals (2022). Smith will report to Triple-A Durham, providing the Rays with additional experienced left-handed hitting options, and serving as a possible ticket back to the minors for Austin Shenton.
