30-year-old British national Thomas Craig Sheldon was detained in Puri, India for allegedly assaulting police officers and entering the Lord Jagannath temple, which is off-limits to non-Hindus. The incident occurred a week after a Polish woman was detained for entering the same shrine. Sheldon, from Wandsworth in south London, was questioned and the circumstances of the incident were being investigated.
