South Korea's business outlook for Q2 hit an 11-quarter high due to positive expectations for semiconductors and cosmetics, according to a survey of 2,230 manufacturing firms. The Business Sentiment Index (BSI) rose to 99, a 16-point increase from the current quarter. Semiconductor sentiment reached 114, while cosmetics and precision medical equipment readings were 124 and 119, respectively.
