50s man suffered life-threatening head injury in assault on Cavendish Street, Barrow; two suspects arrested.
A man in his 50s suffered a life-threatening head injury in an assault involving three men and a woman on Cavendish Street, Barrow, at 4am on March 31. He remains in hospital in Preston. Two suspects were arrested: a 24-year-old man from Barrow on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and a 16-year-old boy from Barrow on suspicion of attempted to assault a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm. Police are appealing for witnesses.
