Pop singer Vanessa Carlton celebrates Washington Capitals player John Carlson's 1,000th NHL game by remixing her hit song "A Thousand Miles" with Carlson-themed lyrics. The remixed song was part of a collaboration between the team and production company Fresh Tape Media. John Carlson, who is known as "Carly" to fans, is set to become the 128th defenseman in league history to skate in 1,000 regular-season games.
