Maine's Gorham public schools introduce inclusive pre-K classes for children with disabilities.
Maine's Gorham public schools began offering inclusive pre-K classes for children with disabilities this year, with two classes at Narragansett and two at private preschools. Around 60 Maine districts offer disability services for 4-year-old pre-K students, and all may soon be required to do so. Child Development Services, part of the state education department, is responsible for ensuring more children with disabilities can be served in schools.
