India's Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 9,180 grams of smuggled gold worth Rs 6.4 crore ($886,000) in Cuttack, Odisha, and arrested two men involved in the operation. The gold was hidden in a secret compartment of a car intercepted near Manguli toll plaza. DRI suspects the accused may have imported the smuggled gold from Myanmar via road and railway routes to avoid customs personnel at airports.
