60+ Indian products, including Banaras Thandai, receive Geographical Indication (GI) tags, the first time such a large number of tags have been given at once. Assam's cultural heritage is recognized with 19 traditional products and crafts receiving GI tags, including Bihu Dhol, Jaapi, and various items from the Bodo community. These products directly support nearly one lakh people.
