1 hospitalized, 6 others unharmed after getting caught in rip current at New Smyrna Beach: Officials. Seven people, including a 20-year-old Brazilian man who was initially unresponsive, were caught in a rip current at an unguarded beach area. The man regained a pulse on the way to the hospital, where he was admitted. The six other individuals were not transported to a hospital.
